CT University organised Intra University fest Splash where students from all the eight schools participated in different events. More than 200 students from School of Engineering and Technology, School of Humanities and Linguistics, School of Design and Innovation, School of Education and Physical Education, School of Law, School of Hotel Management and School of Pharmaceuticals and Natural sciences along with School of Management participated in all the events. Splash had various cultural and creative events like Group Dance, Solo Dance, Skit, Punjabi Rasoi, Selfie taking, Collage making, face painting, documentary and the major attraction was Fashion Show. Bawanpreet Singh, a student from School of Management said, “I took part in group dance. Such breaks from study are always entertaining and make us stress free. All my fellow companions were actually very good and we had a gala time in Splash.” “Splash witnessed a different variety of talents in all the students. They did a great job by putting so many efforts. I congratulate all the winners and I even congratulate all the participants because appearing on stage is not always easy. The students were full of creativity and zeal. Such events would be regularly organised for a break for the students and bringing out their talents.” said, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti.

Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Delhi Airport, selected 19 students of School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism, CT University. The students will go undergo 06 months training as part of their course curriculum, which is to be commenced from January, 2019. This training will provide the students hands on exposure of the various aspects of the hotel industry viz, Front Office, House Keeping, F&B Service and Food Production, so essential for their career growth. The students were selected on the basis of their communication skills as well as their academic knowledge about hotel industry.

CT University’s Directorate of Sports organised International Yoga Day in the university campus by practising yoga and creating awareness about its benefits. The university commemorated the memorable day by organising free yoga camp which was open for all students, parents and general public of the nearby areas. The event was graced by Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi and Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti and other officials along with faculty and students. Inaugurating the event, Parminder Kaur Channi, said, “Yoga has an extremely strong power to heal stressful mind and body. In current scenario, one needs to input yoga asana in their lives.” Yoga can be fruitful for both students and faculty. It has benefits of calming down the minds and peacefully working along in a busy lifestyle. Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti said that Yoga, at start of day, is a refreshing agent for moving along the whole day. Regular yoga practice, especially when combined with other stress relievers like walking outside or mindfulness meditation, can help battle many physical effects of stress and anxiety.”

In coding Competition “The Turbo Coders” from CT Group of Institutions Shahpur achieved the overall winner award by developing an “Iot Enabled Risk Monitoring System in Cold Supply Chain”. Team “Breakerz” secured second position by developing an app to reduce food wastage and “Infinity Coders” got third position by developing a text based AI Chatbot.

Dattatray Bhagwan Dhainje has been working in this field for the past 7 years and is helping in Cyber Crime Investigation to various police stations across Maharashtra. He discussed different aspects related to the Cyber Security Techniques, securing the Internet Banking, usage of wallet and shared knowledge about cybercrimes prevailing in the market and much more. In addition to it, he explained how to secure your personal accounts on social media platforms and gave a live demonstration of Genuine Website Authentication.

An expert talk by Guest Speaker- Mr. Muzaffar Hasan, Scientist (ARS), ICAR-Central Institute for Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal (M.P.) was organized in order to celebrate National Science Day, 2022 with a Virtual Informative Session on “Functional foods and plant based beverages”. The speaker deliberated in detail the importance of functional foods and beverages in present time and why these are becoming popular among all, as there is great adoption and wide production being taking place in food industries for such products. He also elaborated methods of preparation of some plant based beverages.

An awareness camp was organized for farmers of village Rurka by School of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana. It was organized under the direction of Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Managing Director of University. The faculty of Agriculture including Dr. Daljit Singh Khurana (Head of School), Dr. Umesh Chandra Sati, Ms. Khushwinder Kaur and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor) along with students visited the village for the session on “Direct Seeded Rice” as promoted by the scientists and Government of Punjab. The farmers have been adopting the cultivation of Paddy by puddling method in stagnant water condition, but this has shown negative impacts on soil and water as well as atmosphere causing environmental pollution. Negative effects include destruction of soil structure, soil crusting, reduction in soil fertility, depletion of water table and greenhouse effect leading to global warming due to Methane gas released under such anaerobic conditions. In contrary to this, Direct Seeding of Paddy helps in saving the water, soil structure, fertility, etc. with optimum yield so as to sustain the resources for future generation. The farmers were also acquainted with the cultivation of pulses especially “Moong” which can be easily adopted in crop rotation with Wheat and Paddy as an additional crop and may proof beneficial in improving soil fertility as added by Dr. D.S. Khurana. Along with this he also emphasized on diversification of agriculture. The awareness camp concluded with answers to the queries of farmers and vote of thanks.

CT University attempts Limca Book of Records by preparing 1101 types of Phirnis, After making records of 550 different variety of vegetarian sandwiches, 300 different types of pastas and 198 omelettes by CT Group, CT University today has attempted a Limca Book of Record for making 1101 different types of phirnis by the students and faculty of School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism under the patronage of University in collaboration with Amul, under the marketing brand of Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd.  167 ingredients were used to prepare 1101 types of Phirnis. As per the record guidelines, this attempt has been verified by government officials. The Guests of Honour were Chef Nellu Kaura, Founder Chef Kala, Ludhiana; Chef Vishwadeep Bali, MD, Food Masters and Chef Hitesh from Hotel Kipps. In this event, 1101 different types of nutritious and healthy phirnis were prepared by chefs and faculty of Hotel Management students. The ingredients used were basil, beetroot, khas, semolina, quinnoa, etc. The phirnis made will be distributed at NGO Manukhta Di Sewa in Mullanpur.

To give hands-on experience to the students, a number of bakery products such as Cakes, Cupcakes, Muffins and Cookies were made during the workshop. SOHMAT CTU organized Star Chef India-Online Cooking Competition in association with Chefs Association of Fiver Rivers. The primary objective of the event was to focus on Indian dishes and Plating, and further to fill people with positive energy during the lockdown period. There were 256 participants in the first round from across India and 65 participants were selected for the second round, and in the third round, the top 5 selected participants performed virtual cooking through Facebook Live on January 22, 2021. Chief Jury for the event was Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and the winners were Isha Sherawat (First), Preeti Mundra (Second), Shikha Pole (Third). This mega event of four months duration was sponsored by Chef Kala, Cates, Cornitos and Events justabhi.com.

CT University’s Department of Sports organised ‘2nd CT Premier Cricket Tournament’ under 21 at the Sports Complex, CTU where in 16 teams participated from various academies and schools around Ludhiana. The matches were played in two Pools that is Pool A and B. Under Pool A: Teams were CP cricket Academy, Kular Academy, Bharowal Academy, Kamla Lohtia Cricket Academy, Bharwal Academy, CT Public School Maqsoodan, New Star Academy, Ludhiana. Under Pool B: Sunrise Cricket centre Academy, KCB Academy, Sunrise Cricket Academy, GAD Academy, GNA Phagwara, IPS School, Cricket Club Khosa. After the final match, Kular Cricket Club won with 15 runs and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 21,000/- and Runner up team Cricket Club, Khosa awarded with Rs 11,000/-.Gurveer Singh from Kular Cricket Club won Best Batsman Award. Sandeep Singh from Cricket Club, Khosa won best Bowler Award and Happy from Kular Cricket Club got ‘Man of The Series’ Award. Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, congratulating the winners said, “Such platforms let a student bring out his best and can contribute for nation. The need of the hour is not just intelligent youth but fit as well and sports activities are the best for it.”

CT University (CTU) in association with Ludhiana District Chess Association organized a Chess Tournament for Under 19. In this three day chess workshop. 97 students including 61 girls were registered. They marked their performances to fight for saving their queen in consecutive eight rounds. Students from various cities took part in the event. The CTU Managing Director, Manbir Singh congratulated the winners and participants who took part in this first ever chess event organized by the University. He encouraged the students to keep the pace with both study and extracurricular activities. The chief organizer, Dr Pravin Sharma informed that on the first day of the championship, Bhuvesh Mahajan of Amritsar earned 4 points in the fourth round. On the second day of the championship top ranking Amritsar player showcased his excellent performance as also Anmol Bhagat of Jalandhar earned four points as well. Pankaj Arora of Jalandhar , Madhuvesh Mittal of Bathinda and Anju Bansal of Ludhiana, Shobhit Dhingra of Patiala all earned 3.5 points. In the girls section, Jalandhar girls top ranked in the show. In the fourth round, Deepanshi Sharma, Tia Setia, Anvanshita Verma, Lavanya Jain, Trishti Chopra remained leading. Similarly, Vanshika Sharma of Sangrur, Nitya Singhania of Amritsar got 3 points each. The championship is still progressing and the final results will be available shortly, said Dr Sharma. Congratulating the winners Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, said that chess is the game is of brain and smartness and that the participants who have the acumen turn out to be winners. He congratulated the winners and said that CTU will organize such events in future as well. Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar said that CTU holding the temporary membership of AIU, have a plan to organize various cultural and sports events.

His zeal for teaching and love for community service can still be found amongst his students and the people he worked with. 2nd Prof. (Dr.) Basant K. Sharma Memorial National Moot Court Competition (Virtual) aims at providing a platform to law. The participants will be provided with interactive yet challenging courtroom experience for developing their critical as well as advocacy skills.

Aarti International Limited is a vertically integrated textile company with manufacturing facilities of Greige Yarns, knitted, Dyed & Printed Fabrics. Annually it produces 37800 tons of Yarn and 10000 tons of Fabric. Aarti International Continuous Achieving the Milestones of Consistency, reliability, traceability and sustainability. The team of Aarti International showed the students how Yarn is manufactured along with the fabric. The team further discussed with the students about various career opportunities in the market. The Company has various reputed buyers like Disney, H&M, Adidas, Enamor, Jockey, etc. The students had great experience visiting the company and they also prepared the project report on the same.

The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers, to reminisce joyous moments. The way the students hosted the program was a true treat to the eyes. Being a colorful affair, the farewell bash rocked the day for all the party attendees. The highlight of the event was the Mr. and Miss Farewell contest in which the outgoing students walked the ramp gracefully and participated in games. Rishav Jamwal was adjudged as Mr. Farewell and Gurleen as Miss Farewell from MBA, Jagdeep Singh Grewal as Mr. Farewell and Himanshi as Miss Farewell from BBA, Lovish Arora as Mr. Farewell and Prabhjot as Miss Farewell from B.COM. On the occasion, Assistant Dean and Head of School Dr. Nikhil Monga wished best of luck to the going students and said that anything can be achieved by sincere hard work and dedication. As the graduates filled the room, the excitement was palpable and the spirit was strong. This cheerful and heart-warming scenario was witnessed at 1st Convocation of CT University. As many as 1600 postgraduates and graduates of 2018 to 2022 passed out batches were awarded degrees in a convocation ceremony organized in open air theatre, CT University.The Chief Guest for the occasion was Hon’ble Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly S Kultar Singh Sandhwan. He delivered the Convocation Address. In his address, S Kultar Singh Sandhwan shared the tale of his success and stressed on the introduction of new technology. He said, “I congratulate all the degree holders today as it’s the reward of their hard work and sincerity during their college days. Go and Face the real challenges in the world, explore the best out of you and focus on positivity. You must work hard with a positive mindset in order to touch the pinnacle of success.”The welcome speech was delivered Hon’ble Chancellor Charanjit S Channi. The convocation was organised by Registrar, Sarabpreet Singha along with Examination controller Dr. Parveen and Dean Academics (Off.) Dr. Pooja. School of Law, CT University, Ludhiana celebrated “INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY”Awareness about legal rights was also deliveredLudhiana, September 2022 : CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab organized the different events to celebrate the “ International Literacy Day” like Legal awareness Drive, Distribution of books in villages and Session on Imparting basic legal education to CTU employees.The objective of the initiative was to create the awareness on education among the students and motivate them for achieving their aims in life by getting the knowledge from the books.Legal Aid Cell was active whole day for providing legal services to the poor, marginalized and weaker sections of the society. Fifty persons approached the cell for free legal aid including faculties, transport staff and other staff of the university, regarding their family disputes regarding the awareness of their services. After assessing the problems advices were given to them.Students of School of law also participated in the event with very zest and zeal. Further the Faculties and students of School of Law distributed the books among the needy students of village Pona. Principal School of Law, Dr. Simranjeet Gill Principle of School of Law, took a session of CTU employees (helpers), transport and security officers whose income is less than 3 lacs per year to aware them about their legal rights and informed them about the schemes and policies given by DLSA.Dr Satish Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CT University appreciated the initiative taken by School of Law and said that Literacy is the birthright of every human being. The visit was aimed at providing them with practical insights into the field of forensic science.The Punjab Police Academy houses three vital divisions: the Forensic Science Lab, Fingerprint Bureau Cell, and Cyber Forensic Training Cell. During the visit, students had the chance to witness various activities in these divisions, gaining firsthand knowledge of forensic science operations.The laboratories primarily focus on the examination of equipment and specimens received from investigating officers, with a special emphasis on the chain of custody. Students were shown how to verify chain of custody details and assess the preservation of viscera packages. The Robotics and Automation Lab at CT University proudly announces the successful development of a cutting-edge pesticide spraying robot, a technological breakthrough designed to transform crop protection and elevate farming efficiency.This Wi-Fi-controlled prototype is a testament to CT University's commitment to advancing agricultural technology and addressing the evolving needs of farmers. The robot boasts a 20-liter tank, six powerful motors, and all-terrain tires, allowing for seamless customization to meet specific field requirements. Its state-of-the-art spraying mechanism ensures precise and controlled pesticide delivery, revolutionizing traditional spraying methods.Dr. Harmeet Singh, Deputy Director of the IPR Cell, emphasizes the pivotal role that robots will play in the future of precision agriculture. The Robotics and Automation Lab is already working on an advanced version of the prototype, integrating solar charging and GPS navigation to further enhance functionality and efficiency.According to Dr. Mandeep Kaur, the adoption of pesticide spraying robots offers numerous advantages to farmers. With a bonfire, folk songs, bhangra, games, and a DJ party, the faculty celebrated Lohri. The main attraction of the event was a Potluck Lunch in which every faculty member made different dishes, fostering a sense of community as they enjoyed the meal together.Davinder Singh, Director , Department of Student Welfare, said, “Lohri is celebrated before the arrival of warmer weather and the Harvesting Season. This theme-based fashion show brought together final semester students, each presenting their unique interpretation of captivating themes through four outfits. The event was a resounding success, captivating the audience with its creativity and innovation.The seven themes that inspired the collections at Mayassar 2024 were diverse and imaginative, including "Banjara" (Collection of the Year), "Granim" (a combination of traditional Greek outfits and denim), "Snowy Pearls" (depicting the beauty of pearls from head to toe), "Picasso" (a tribute to the famous artist), "Contemporary Architecture" (a blend of architectural elements with a contemporary twist), "Indian Mafia" (showcasing a collection filled with terror and attitude), and a surprise "Denim Collection" from first-year students. The Hostel Champions League 2024, organized by CT University Clubs under the Department of Student Welfare, concluded with resounding success. Over 700 hostel students participated in a six-day extravaganza, showcasing their talents and embracing healthy competition.The event kicked off with a grand opening ceremony featuring captivating performances and the unveiling of trophies. Each day brought a diverse array of games, engaging participants in traditional sports such as volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, badminton, and swimming, along with unique contests like arm wrestling, push-up competitions, and UNO. CT University proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to offer exceptional training opportunities for students under the prestigious "Pradipti" program.The MoU was signed by Mr. Girish Kumar, General Manager of HR at AAI, and Mr. Sanjay Khanduri, Registrar at CT University. This initiative, supervised by the Director of the Career Resource Center (CRC) Rajesh Kapoor at CT University, aims to enhance the practical skills and industry readiness of students.Students will undergo rigorous training at various airports managed by AAI, gaining firsthand experience in airport operations, management, and allied services. The "Pradipti" program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application, exposing students to cutting-edge practices and technologies in the aviation sector.Mr. Sanjay Khanduri expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "This MoU will open new avenues for our students, offering them invaluable exposure and hands-on training in one of the most dynamic sectors. This conference provided an exceptional platform for academicians, research scholars, and experts from various disciplines to gather in a hybrid format.The conference was conducted in both online and offline modes, with approximately 120 participants joining online from countries including the UAE, India, and Azerbaijan, while nearly 50 participants attended in person in Azerbaijan. The event showcased a diverse range of scholarly papers from fields such as Medical Sciences, Environmental Studies, Commerce, Management, Humanities, Engineering, and Technical Innovation.Dr. Shahla Gahramanova, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration, Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), served as a keynote speaker and session chair. Inspired by CSIR's initiative encouraging individuals to wear unironed clothes on Mondays, CT University has launched 'Wrinkled Tuesday' to further support the cause of reducing carbon emissions.The inaugural 'Wrinkled Tuesday' saw enthusiastic participation from the CT University workforce, who pledged their support by donning unironed clothes. This simple yet impactful act aims to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of reducing ironing, which contributes to the emission of approximately 200 grams of carbon dioxide per set of clothes. Gold medalists received Rs. 25,000 each, and bronze medalists were awarded Rs. 15,000 each.Additionally, CT University athletes earned 1 international medal, 3 national medals, 5 AIU and zonal medals, and 8 state-level medals. The lecture was delivered by the distinguished Dr. Manpreet Singh, Professor and Head of the Guru Gobind Singh Study and Research Department at Lamrin Tech Skill University, Punjab. Dr. Singh, who has an illustrious academic and spiritual background, has previously served as a guest lecturer at Central University of Kashmir, J & K, and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He is also the Head Preacher at DSGMC, where he regularly gives Katha discourses at prominent Gurdwaras, including G. Bangla Sahib, G. Sis Ganj Sahib, and G. Manji Sahib (Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar). CT University hosted the inauguration of the prestigious Annual Training Camp (ATC) 64, from September 18th to 27th. The camp is conducted under the expert supervision of Commanding Officer Col. Rohit Khana, SM, with administrative support from Devinder Dhadwal and Subedar Major Karnail Singh.The camp has brought together 450 cadets from 30 schools and colleges, including four Air Squadron units, all gathered at CT University for this unique training experience. Throughout the camp, cadets will enhance their weapon training, engage in rigorous physical activities, compete in thrilling sports events, and display their cultural talents. Dr. Megha Choudhary Khanna, a neuro physiotherapist, talked to the students about the importance of research in physiotherapy. CT University along with Red Ribbon Club and Directorate of Youth Welfare of Punjab organized Red Run Marathon. Over 300 enthusiastic participants, including 200 students from CT University and more than 100 from other institutions participated.The 5-kilometer race started and ended at the university campus which aimed to promote health, fitness and awareness about HIV/AIDS. The event was graced by the Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Director of Youth Welfare of Punjab who commended the university and participants for their commitment to a healthier lifestyle and social causes."The Red Run is more than just a race; it's a symbol of hope, resilience and unity," said Kulwinder Singh. The Combined Annual Training Camp of the 3 Punjab Battalion NCC concluded at CT University after a rigorous ten-day program, marking the participation of 385 cadets from Senior and Junior divisions across various institutions in Ludhiana, Jagraon, and Moga.The training camp featured activities designed to build leadership, discipline, and camaraderie among the cadets. These included physical training, military drills, and leadership development exercises. A dedicated team of 40 NSS volunteers including students and teachers from CT University participated in a community service initiative aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission. CT University's Department of Robotics & Automation launched the Vintage Electric Car EvoClassic. This project successfully merges the timeless elegance of classic automotive design with the technology of electric vehicles.This project took over six months to complete with an approximate budget of ₹2.5 lakhs. The project was initiated by R&D Engineer Dr. Inderjeet Singh, along with Satyam Gupta and Gurkirat Singh Maan, supported by the department's technical staff and engineering students. These farmers, who hail from various villages in the region, have taken the initiative to avoid the traditional practice of burning crop residue, a major contributor to air pollution.The honored farmers are Gurpreet Singh and Jaspreet Singh from Chownkiman, Malwinder Singh, Narinderpal Singh, and Jaswant Singh from Gureh, Lal Singh, Soni Sidhu and Amna Toor from Sowaddi, Gurpratap Singh from Malak, Raminderdeep Singh from Manuke, Jashanpreet Singh from Barsal, Armanpreet Singh from Malak. CT University's School of Law successfully hosted the 1st B.R. Ambedkar Client Counseling Competition. This prestigious event brought together 24 teams comprising 48 talented law students from across India to showcase their Legal knowledge and client counseling skills. The competition was designed to simulate real-world legal scenarios, challenging participants to understand client concerns, provide strategic legal advice, and navigate complex legal issues. The diverse range of legal topics covered included Criminal Law, Family Law, and Commercial Law.The trophy for the championship title was lifted by the team from Department of Laws, UILS, Punjab University, Chandigarh. The runner-up trophy went to the team from Christ University, Delhi. The District Administration, in collaboration with Startup Punjab and CT University, successfully hosted the Boot Camp cum Workshop for the Future Tycoon startup challenge. The event saw an impressive turnout, with 4624 registrations and 218 teams selected to move on to the next round.These teams were chosen from five categories: Open Category, Student Category, Women Category, Sustainable Agriculture Category, and PWD (People with Disability) Category. The Student Category had the highest qualification of 115.The selected teams will now prepare for the Jury Round, scheduled to take place in January, followed by the Grand Finale. CT University students have made their mark at two prestigious national championships, bringing home gold and silver medals and qualifying for top-tier tournaments.In the North-East Zone Inter University Weightlifting Men Championship 2024-25, hosted by L.P.U. On 06 November 2024, a group of students from CT University had the unique opportunity to visit the esteemed Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur. The visit was part of an educational initiative to provide students with a firsthand understanding of the rigorous training and operational framework that shapes the law enforcement professionals of tomorrow. During the visit, the 50 students and 2 faculty members, were introduced to the academy’s world-class facilities, which include specialized training zones, mock crime scenes, and advanced laboratories designed to simulate real-life law enforcement scenarios although with this students had visited Finger print Beuro, Traffic wing, Cyber cell, Forensic Science laboratory and Museum (crime and weapon gallery).The students observed various aspects of police training, from physical fitness and tactical drills to theoretical lessons on criminal law, investigation techniques, and community policing. The highlight of the visit was an interactive session with faculty members and trainee officers, where the students gained valuable insights into the academy’s curriculum and its emphasis on integrity, ethical conduct, and professional development. Winners: Lovely Professional University, CT University and Sant Baba Bhag Singh UniversityCT University's TechVerse Club, under the aegis of the School of Engineering and Technology, successfully organised “Code Crafter 2.0”, a 24-hour national hackathon.The event witnessed participation from 91 teams across the country, including cities like Dehradun, Jaipur, Kangra and various parts of Himachal Pradesh.The hackathon provided students an opportunity to showcase their skills in domains such as Environmental Sustainability, Agriculture, Healthcare, Satellite Communication, Cybersecurity and Examination Systems.Participants innovatively addressed real-world issues such as Reducing delays in system processes, Developing Decision Support Systems for agricultural crop planning and Creating integrated platforms connecting patients, doctors and labs in the healthcare sector.Alongside the intense coding sessions, the event featured fun indoor and outdoor activities, including workshops, interactive games and an outdoor DJ night to energize participants.The event's Guest of Honour, Shamsher Singh from Novem Controls, appreciated the innovation-driven spirit of the young coders.Naveen Singh from Brilliko emphasised the importance of practical learning and hands-on problem-solving in education.The event concluded with the announcement of winners,1st Prize: Lovely Professional University, 2nd Prize: CT University and 3rd Prize: Sant Baba Bhag Singh University.Special Categories include Best Ui/Ux Design: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri; Best Innovation: Lamrin Tech Skills; Best Startup Idea: CT University.Judges for Day 1 and Day 2 were Tammna from Novem controls, Ayush Chauhan from IBM, and Aswin ram kishore pal from IBM.Commenting on the success of the event, Chancellor, S. Unite to End TB: CT University and DMC&H Ludhiana Organise Awareness EventCT University, in collaboration with Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMC&H) Ludhiana, observed World Tuberculosis Day with a special event aimed at raising awareness about tuberculosis among students of School of Health Sciences, Allied Health Sciences and Optometry.The event, held at LT-1, Dumra Auditorium, DMC&H, featured an expert talk by Dr. Veenu Gupta, who shared valuable insights on TB prevention, symptoms and treatment. CT University Emerges as Overall Champions in Girls Wushu and 2nd Runner-Up in Boys Wushu at All India Inter-University Wushu ChampionshipCT University has made a remarkable achievement at the All India Inter-University Wushu (M/W) Championship, hosted by Chandigarh University, Mohali.The championship witnessed participation from 135 universities and over 1500 players from across the country. CT University's girls' team won 3 gold medals, with Sonia (45 Kg), Palavi (48 Kg), and Deepika (56 Kg) emerging as champions in their respective weight categories, securing the Overall Champion title.In the boys' category, CT University secured 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Yash Kadian won the bronze medal in the 60 Kg category, while Syed Mohammad Ali Rouf Shah and Vivek won gold medals in the 65 Kg and 80 Kg categories, respectively, achieving 2nd Runner-Up position."We are proud of our students for their outstanding performance in the All India Inter-University Wushu Championship. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork," said Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh.Director Student Welfare, Er. CT University, in collaboration with the Government of Himachal Pradesh, successfully hosted the 6th edition of the prestigious HIMPUN Job Fair at Government Polytechnic College, Hamirpur. This landmark event aimed to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the region and enhance industry-academia collaboration.The HIMPUN Job Fair series has a strong legacy of empowering the youth of Himachal Pradesh, with previous editions connecting thousands of young professionals with leading recruiters. This year's event, HIMPUN 4.0, was the largest yet, with participation from over 50 leading companies across various sectors, including Hero Cycles, Alorica India Pvt Ltd, Hoping Minds, Yuvraj Overseas Pvt Ltd, and Paytm, among others.The event provided a platform for direct interaction with recruiters, career guidance sessions, and on-the-spot placement opportunities. Sh. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation and promote eco-friendly practices among students, faculty, and staff.As part of the celebrations, students from various departments created posters highlighting the significance of Earth Hour and the impact of small actions on the environment. The posters were displayed across the campus, serving as a reminder of the importance of sustainability.In a symbolic gesture, the university observed a one-hour 'Lights Off' period from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, during which all non-essential electrical devices, including lights, computers and printers, were switched off. This initiative aimed to demonstrate the potential impact of collective action on energy conservation.Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh, added, "As a responsible educational institution, it is our duty to promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation. School of Law Wins Big!CT University's Department of Student Welfare recently hosted "Udaan" - An Inter School Cultural Fest, a spectacular event that brought together budding talents from various schools to showcase their skills and creativity in a wide range of cultural and artistic disciplines.The fest featured an exciting array of events and activities, including skits, solo performances in singing and dance, group dance, photography, rangoli, mehndi, face painting, cartooning, fashion show, poem recitation, debate, elocution, essay writing, quiz, poetry writing, installation, clay modelling, nukkad natak and cultural procession.After intense competitions and outstanding showcases of talent, the prestigious Overall Trophy was awarded to the School of Law, recognising their exceptional talent and unwavering dedication across various events.The School of Engineering and Technology secured the position of 1st Runner Up, while the School of Design and Innovation took home the 2nd Runner Up trophy.The title of Best Cultural Procession was awarded to the School of Design and Innovation, acknowledging their captivating and culturally rich presentation.In a special highlight of the event, added to the excitement by giving away a iPhone 13 to one lucky student.
