District Administration and CT University Empower Future Tycoons: 218 Teams Selected

The District Administration, in collaboration with Startup Punjab and CT University, successfully hosted the Boot Camp cum Workshop for the Future Tycoon startup challenge. The event saw an impressive turnout, with 4624 registrations and 218 teams selected to move on to the next round.

These teams were chosen from five categories: Open Category, Student Category, Women Category, Sustainable Agriculture Category, and PWD (People with Disability) Category. The Student Category had the highest qualification of 115.

The selected teams will now prepare for the Jury Round, scheduled to take place in January, followed by the Grand Finale. The top three teams from each category will receive a seed capital of ₹13 crore 10 lakh.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Jitendra Jorwal, IAS Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, and Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, CT University. Keynote speakers included Shibananda Das, CEO of Ludhiana Angel Network, Salil Kaplash, Startup Punjab, and Sarabjit, LDM Punjab Sind Bank.

CT University's Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Guest, stating, "We are thankful for your presence and support. This event is a testament to our commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among our students."
