CT University Department of Design and Innovation Organizes Annual Art Exhibition

The Department of Design and Innovation at CT University proudly hosted its annual art exhibition, showcasing a stunning array of artworks created by the talented students from the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Animation & Multimedia courses. The exhibition, held in the department's gallery, was organized under the guidance of Mr. Manan Sharma, Head of the Design and Innovation Department, and Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor and Chief Coordinator of the Art Exhibition 2024.

This yearly event provides a platform for young artists to present their creative talents, reflecting the combined ingenuity of both students and faculty. The artworks on display addressed significant contemporary issues, including crimes against women and the effects of globalization, demonstrating the students' ability to engage with important societal themes through their art.

The exhibition received an overwhelmingly positive response from visitors and art enthusiasts. The presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University; Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh ; Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Simran, Dean Academics; and Davinder Singh, Director of the Department of Student Welfare, added to the event's prestige.

Several students were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the exhibition:

Muskan received the Artist of the Year Award.

Saloni was honored with the Excellence Award.

The Best Work Awards were presented to Rajwinder Kaur, Chandon Mehta, and Gurnoor Singh.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University, said, “The annual art exhibition is a testament to the extraordinary talent and creativity of our students. It is inspiring to see how they address important societal issues through their art. The exhibition offered students a remarkable opportunity to showcase their artwork, enhance their skills, and engage with new audiences. It also provided a platform for students to sell their custom artworks, adding a rewarding commercial aspect to their educational experience.
