CT University Organizes 1st B.R Ambedkar Client Counseling Competition

CT University's School of Law successfully hosted the 1st B.R. Ambedkar Client Counseling Competition. This prestigious event brought together 24 teams comprising 48 talented law students from across India to showcase their Legal knowledge and client counseling skills. The competition was designed to simulate real-world legal scenarios, challenging participants to understand client concerns, provide strategic legal advice, and navigate complex legal issues. The diverse range of legal topics covered included Criminal Law, Family Law, and Commercial Law.

The trophy for the championship title was lifted by the team from Department of Laws, UILS, Punjab University, Chandigarh. The runner-up trophy went to the team from Christ University, Delhi. Deepak Kaur from Punjab University, Chandigarh, was awarded the Best Advocate title.

The inaugural session was graced by the presence of esteemed jurist, Honorable Retd. Additional District and Sessions Judge Ms. Preeti Sahini, Chairman Permanent Lok Adalat Moga. The event was further honored by the presence of CT University's Chancellor, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi and Dean Academics Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill. Advocate Ritesh Anand, a prominent legal practitioner from Magnus Legal Firms, Delhi, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi addressed the participants, emphasizing the significance of learning through client counseling competitions and highlighted the importance of developing empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence in addition to legal knowledge.
