Department of Design and Innovation Showcases Eco-Friendly Projects, Highlighting the Future of Design

CT University's Department of Design and Innovation recently celebrated World Design Day with a vibrant and creative event, bringing together students, faculty, and design enthusiasts to showcase innovative projects centered around sustainability and creativity in design.

The Department presented an impressive collection of work under the theme of sustainability, focusing on eco-friendly materials such as newspaper, jute, fabric waste, denim waste, and green leaves.

Students displayed diverse and eco-conscious creations, including outfits, wall art, home décor pieces, and floor mats, reflecting the department's commitment to promoting sustainable fashion and creativity.

The event also featured expertise in illustrations, crocheting, fabric manipulations, and surface ornamentation, with striking wall art pieces showcasing technical skills and artistic vision. The Banjara Collection, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, was a special highlight, offering a unique take on cultural fusion in fashion design.

The multimedia aspect of the event was equally engaging, with students impressing attendees with their photography skills through a curated best-picture display and a lively photo booth corner. A movie trailer showcasing students' creative work was unveiled, along with behind-the-scenes footage highlighting the process, passion, and dedication behind the scenes.

The event was made possible through the tireless efforts of the Design and Innovation Team with the guidance of Mr. Monu Sharma, Head of the Department.

Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor, praised the students' innovative work and the department's focus on sustainable design practices.

Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor emphasised the transformative power of design in shaping a more sustainable and conscious future.
