CT University is committed to provide a safe, fair and harmonious learning and working environment. Grievance Redressal Cell is set up at CT University in accordance with the University Grants Commission regulations for handling day-to-day grievances related to students, parents and staff members. Grievance Redressal Cell facilitates the resolution of grievances in a fair and impartial manner involving the respective Department (dealing with the substantive function connected with the grievance), maintaining necessary confidentiality, as the case may be. Any stakeholder with a genuine grievance may approach Grievance Redressal Cell to submit his/her grievance in writing.

Students’ Grievance Redressal Mechanism

The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the department members in person, or in consultation with the officer in-charge Students’ Grievance Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell.

Objective

The Students’ Grievance Cell aims to foster a responsive, transparent, and accountable atmosphere within the university, thereby ensuring a harmonious and inclusive educational environment for all stakeholders.

The Cell is established to address and resolve the concerns and grievances of students effectively and impartially. Its key objectives are as follows:

  1. To uphold the dignity of the university by ensuring a conflict-free academic environment through the promotion of respectful and cordial relationships among students and between students and faculty.
  2. To encourage students to voice their concerns freely and confidently without fear of retaliation or victimization.
  3. To promote mutual respect and understanding by advising students to honor the rights and dignity of others and to exercise restraint and patience during disagreements.
  4. To discourage any acts of provocation or hostility among students, and between students and faculty or administration.
  5. To guide faculty and staff in maintaining a supportive and compassionate approach toward students, avoiding any form of vindictive behavior.

The Grievance Cell is committed to creating a safe space for students to share their concerns and ensures that every complaint is addressed with fairness, empathy, and confidentiality.

Functions

  1. The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.
  2. The cell formally will review all cases and will act accordingly as per the Management policy.
  3. The cell will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and the number of pending cases, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities.

Procedure for lodging complaint

  1. The students may feel free to put up a grievance in mail or writing it and drop in the Grievance Box or handover to the officer – in charge of the Cell. 
  2. The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievance has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell.
