CT University Hosts Punjab State Arm Wrestling Championship 2026 in Collaboration with PAFI

CT University proudly hosted the Punjab State Arm Wrestling Men & Women Championship 2026 in collaboration with People’s Armwrestling Federation India (PAFI), bringing together strength, determination, and competitive spirit under one roof.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from 130 athletes competing across Sub-Junior, Junior, Youth, and Senior categories, reflecting the rising sporting culture in the region.

The event was formally inaugurated by Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, Chief Advisor of PAFI, and a noted Bollywood actor.

He was joined by Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman of CT University; Er. Davinder Singh, Director – DSW; and Gurdeep Singh, Head of Sports, whose presence added prestige and encouragement to the participants.

The competition showcased remarkable talent and resilience, with participants displaying exceptional strength and sportsmanship throughout the event. The coveted Champion of Champions titles were awarded as follows:

* Varun emerged victorious in the Sub-Junior category
* Deepak clinched the Junior title
* Harkomal Singh Gill, a student of CT University, dominated both the Youth and Senior categories, marking an outstanding achievement for the institution

Leadership Applauds Athletes and Highlights Commitment to Sports Development

Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University, commended the efforts of all participants and organizers, stating that such championships play a crucial role in nurturing young talent and promoting a culture of fitness and discipline among youth. He emphasized that the university remains committed to providing a platform for students to excel not only academically but also in sports at state and national levels.

Gurdeep Singh, Head of Sports, also expressed pride in the successful event, highlighting the dedication and performance of the athletes.
