CT University's 4th Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Moot Court Competition Concludes with Great Success

Young Legal Minds Showcase Exceptional Talent and Advocacy Skills

The 4th Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Moot Court Competition at CT University, Ludhiana, has successfully concluded, showcasing exceptional talent and advocacy skills among young legal minds.

Over 50 teams from across India participated in the three-day event, making it one of the most competitive and prestigious moot court competitions in the country.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Manjinder Singh, Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, and Harvinder Singh, Secretary, DLSA, as the Guest of Honor.

Other dignitaries present included Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon, Registrar Sanjay Khanduri, Dean Academics Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, and Director Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh.

The competition featured 40+ judges from District Courts of Ludhiana, Jagraon, Moga and Jalandhar, who assessed teams on their legal acumen, argumentation skills and courtroom demeanor.

The second day of the competition saw the presence of Senior Advocates from the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, who played a crucial role in evaluating team performances.

The Grand Finale was honored by Chief Guest Hon'ble Justice Kuldip Singh (Retd.) Punjab and Haryana High Court and Guest of Honor Archana Pathak Dave, Additional Solicitor General of India, along with Senior Advocates Adv. Sanjeev Sagar and Adv. Babita Sharma, Supreme Court of India.

After intense legal battles, Team Chandigarh University, Mohali emerged as the Winner while Team Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana) secured the Runner-up position.

Manroop Kaur was awarded Best Mooter, Mimashak Khosla was recognised as Best Researcher, and TC-04 PURC, Ludhiana won the Best Memorial prize.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and a closing speech by Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh.

Chief Guest Sh. Manjinder Singh praised the participants for their exceptional advocacy skills.

Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi highlighted the importance of such competitions in fostering legal education and research.
