CT University Honors Farmers for Sustainable Practices

CT University recently honored a group of farmers for their commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. These farmers, who hail from various villages in the region, have taken the initiative to avoid the traditional practice of burning crop residue, a major contributor to air pollution.

The honored farmers are Gurpreet Singh and Jaspreet Singh from Chownkiman, Malwinder Singh, Narinderpal Singh, and Jaswant Singh from Gureh, Lal Singh, Soni Sidhu and Amna Toor from Sowaddi, Gurpratap Singh from Malak, Raminderdeep Singh from Manuke, Jashanpreet Singh from Barsal, Armanpreet Singh from Malak. By choosing not to burn crop residue, they have contribute to reducing air pollution, improving air quality, and preserving the health of the environment.

Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh presented the awards to the honored farmers. Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi appreciated them by commending their efforts and emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture practices. The Director, Department of Student Welfare Davinder singh was also present at the event.
