CT University Embraces CSIR's 'Wrinkles Achhe Hain' Campaign with 'Wrinkled Tuesday' Initiative

In a significant move towards promoting sustainable practices, CT University has embraced the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's (CSIR) 'Wrinkles Achhe Hain (WAH)' campaign. Inspired by CSIR's initiative encouraging individuals to wear unironed clothes on Mondays, CT University has launched 'Wrinkled Tuesday' to further support the cause of reducing carbon emissions.

The inaugural 'Wrinkled Tuesday' saw enthusiastic participation from the CT University workforce, who pledged their support by donning unironed clothes. This simple yet impactful act aims to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of reducing ironing, which contributes to the emission of approximately 200 grams of carbon dioxide per set of clothes. By opting for non-ironed attire, individuals can significantly reduce their carbon footprint, making a meaningful contribution to environmental conservation.

Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of CT University, expressed his wholehearted support for the campaign, stating, "Collective efforts are crucial in conserving energy and protecting our environment. Initiatives like 'Wrinkled Tuesday' not only promote sustainability but also instill a sense of responsibility towards our planet among the community."

The event was graced by the presence, Dean Academics Dr. Simran, and Director of Student Welfare Davinder Singh, who actively participated in the campaign activities, showcasing their commitment to this green initiative.
