CT University Hosts Enlightening Guest Lecture on "Guru Nanak: A Pioneer of Social, Political, and Spiritual Revolution" in Celebration of the 555th Anniversary of Guru Nanak's Birth

In commemoration of the 555th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth, CT University recently organized a thought-provoking guest lecture titled "Guru Nanak: A Pioneer of Social, Political, and Spiritual Revolution." The event was held under the auspices of the Guru Nanak Chair and the Dean Research Office. The lecture was delivered by the distinguished Dr. Manpreet Singh, Professor and Head of the Guru Gobind Singh Study and Research Department at Lamrin Tech Skill University, Punjab. Dr. Singh, who has an illustrious academic and spiritual background, has previously served as a guest lecturer at Central University of Kashmir, J & K, and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He is also the Head Preacher at DSGMC, where he regularly gives Katha discourses at prominent Gurdwaras, including G. Bangla Sahib, G. Sis Ganj Sahib, and G. Manji Sahib (Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar). Additionally, Dr. Singh is the Editor of the monthly magazine "Sis Ganj," published by DSGMC.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon, Dean Academics Dr. Simran, and Director of the Department of Student Welfare Davinder Singh. The coordination of the lecture was led by Dr. Satvir Singh, Assistant Dean Research and Coordinator of the Guru Nanak Chair, along with Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur, another Coordinator of the Guru Nanak Chair.

During the lecture, Dr. Manpreet Singh highlighted Guru Nanak Dev Ji's monumental contributions to social, political, and spiritual domains. He elaborated on how Guru Nanak’s teachings transcended the boundaries of religion, advocating for equality, justice, and the universal brotherhood of mankind. Dr. Singh's deep insights and extensive knowledge left a lasting impact on the attendees, emphasizing Guru Nanak’s role as a revolutionary figure who instilled values that remain relevant even today.
