CT University Wins Big at All India Inter-University Wushu Championship

CT University Emerges as Overall Champions in Girls Wushu and 2nd Runner-Up in Boys Wushu at All India Inter-University Wushu Championship

CT University has made a remarkable achievement at the All India Inter-University Wushu (M/W) Championship, hosted by Chandigarh University, Mohali.

The championship witnessed participation from 135 universities and over 1500 players from across the country. CT University's girls' team won 3 gold medals, with Sonia (45 Kg), Palavi (48 Kg), and Deepika (56 Kg) emerging as champions in their respective weight categories, securing the Overall Champion title.

In the boys' category, CT University secured 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Yash Kadian won the bronze medal in the 60 Kg category, while Syed Mohammad Ali Rouf Shah and Vivek won gold medals in the 65 Kg and 80 Kg categories, respectively, achieving 2nd Runner-Up position.

"We are proud of our students for their outstanding performance in the All India Inter-University Wushu Championship. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork," said Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh.

Director Student Welfare, Er. Davinder Singh, added, “We are committed to providing our students with opportunities to excel in sports and other extracurricular activities. This achievement is a result of our efforts to promote sports and physical education among our students.”
