From the enchanting Ganesh Vandana to the mesmerizing dance performances and soulful singing, the event showcased the immense talent and creativity of our student body.

HIMPUN 2.0 – Unlocking a New Era of Education ad Skill Development A resounding success was achieved by CT University and CT Group with their organization of HIMPUN 2.0. The national conference, an exclusive initiative of the Punjab and Himachal region was held on May 22nd, 2023, at the Auditorium of Degree College, Dharamshala (H.P). The conference celebrated India’s G20 presidency and focused on deciphering National Education Policy. As part of the main agenda, the conference initiated discussions and deliberations on topics such as unlocking opportunities for youth in Industry 4.0 & Innovation. In addition, the conference discussed health & well-being, skill development, and sports.The Chief Guest for the conference was Honourable Cabinet Minister Chaudhary Chander Kumar, and the Guests of Honour, Honourable Raghubir Singh Bali, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Congress leader, Shri Onkar Nehria, Mayor Dharamshala, Shri Sarv Chand, Deputy Mayor, and Shri Dharmesh Ramnotra, SDM.The conference marked its beginning with the introduction of CT University by the Director of IQAC, Ati Priye. This was followed by the first lecture on NEP 2020 by Prof. Dr. Naresh Sharma, Degree College, Dharamshala. NEP 2020 was also deliberated by Prof. Dr. Mahendra Singh Ashawat, Director of the Laureate Institute of Pharmacy. CT University‘s Department of Fashion Design Presents Mayassar 22-23 – The Designer’s Collection: Celebrating Creativity and Fashion Brilliance Ludhiana 29 May 2023: The Department of Fashion Design at CT University’s School of Design and Innovation showcased their exceptional talent and creative prowess at the highly anticipated fashion event, Mayassar 22-23 – The Designer’s Collection. The theme-based fashion show brought together ten final semester students, each presenting their unique interpretation of captivating themes through five outfits. The event was a resounding success, captivating the audience with its creativity and innovation.The ten themes that inspired the collections were Indoor Games, Shadow, Beehive, School Nostalgia, Chocolicious, Pirates, Melody, Moon, Jelly Fish, and Creature of the Ocean.The fashion designers, through their impeccable craftsmanship and visionary designs, showcased their immense talent and dedication to the field. The event was a testament to the rigorous training and guidance provided by the Department of Fashion Design, empowering students to explore their artistic abilities and push the boundaries of fashion.The winners of Mayassar 22-23 – The Designer’s Collection were announced amidst great anticipation. Jury members Smyra Gupta and Sharanjeet Kaur graced the occasion. Kavya, with her captivating Chocolicious collection, emerged as the Designer of the Year 22-23. Mansi’s mesmerizing Jelly Fish collection secured her the position of 1st Runner Up, while Bhavika’s stunning Shadow collection earned her the title of 2nd Runner Up.

CT University Organises News Reading Competition, Ludhiana June 23, 2023: CT University‘s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Humanities and Physical Education recently hosted an Inter-school News reading competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 30 students representing various schools and departments. The winners of the competition showcased exceptional talent and delivery skills, impressing both the judges and the audience. Dharya Kumar, a student of BSc Multimedia, emerged as the champion in the Hindi category. Ankush Kumar, a student of BJMC, secured the second position in the same category, while Sonali, an MSc phsycology student, claimed the third spot. In the Punjabi category, Kiranpal Singh was declared the winner, displaying commendable proficiency in news reading. In the English category, Bareera Hajni, an MSc Physiology student, showcased her exceptional skills and was awarded first place. Janvi Jain, a BJMC student and Arashpreet Kaur, an MSc Psychology student, and Tenison, a BSc Economics student, secured the second and third positions, respectively. The competition witnessed outstanding performances in the field of journalism. Manpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor (Multimedia) Graced the occasion as Judge. CT Degree College organized ‘Slice of Heaven’ Summer Camp, Concludes with Great SuccessLudhiana 30 June 2023: CT Degree College (collegiate) organised ‘Slice of Heaven’ Summer Camp, concluded successfully, engaging over 90 enthusiastic students in a week-long journey of learning and fun.The camp featured a diverse range of activities, including Olympiad competitions, CT Degree Parliament on the Union Budget 2023-2024 , an exhilarating trip to Hardy’s World, art and craft sessions, the art of making beverages, cooking without fire, and many more learning and Fun Activities. These activities provided students with opportunities to explore their creativity and enhance their skills in various domains. Additionally, the NCC department organized an insightful expert talk on the topic of drugs, aiming to create awareness and educate students about the dangers of substance abuse. One of the key highlights of the camp was the tree plantation drive, where students actively contributed to the greening of the university campus. Management and NSS in collaboration with Round Glass Foundation have planted the saplings in the university campus. The closing day celebrated the participants’ achievements with stalls showcasing fashion, art and craft exhibitions, cultural performances, fun games, and a certificate distribution ceremony.

The event, held at the University campus, focused on the 2023 theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” symbolizing our shared aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, One Future. ”Yoga session was conducted, emphasizing the purification of both the human body and soul through yoga practice. CT University Hosts Hostel Premier League Season 5, Showcasing Student Unity and Sporting Talent, Ludhiana, July 5, 2023 – The Department of Student Welfare at CT University organized the highly successful Hostel Premier League Season 5, a five-day extravaganza filled with exciting games and activities. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 400 students from more than 35 states of India, as well as students from Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Under the active coordination of Rahil Roy (Project Officer) and dedicated student coordinators, Hostel Premier League Season 5 brought together students from diverse backgrounds, fostering a strong sense of unity and camaraderie. The event showcased a wide range of games, including volleyball, skipping rope, gully cricket, carom, balloon game, kabaddi, three-legged race, chess, and many more, providing a platform for students to showcase their sporting skills and team spirit. The North Region emerged as the champions, claiming the coveted trophy. CT University's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) proudly organized the CTU Model United Nations (CTU MUN) 2024, a dynamic platform for young minds to engage in meaningful discussions on global issues. The event, held at CT University's premises, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various esteemed institutions across India.Distinguished guests, Captain Dharmveer Singh, an esteemed ex-army officer, TEDx speaker, runner, and Fit India ambassador, along with Mr. Gautam Singal, AIG HRD Punjab, graced the occasion, inspiring students to take on leadership roles in addressing pressing global challenges.CTU MUN 2024 facilitated the development of essential skills such as research, public speaking, and negotiation among participating students. Through engaging simulations of the All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM) and the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), students gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of diplomacy and international relations.The AIPPM simulation, focusing on center-state relations in India, provided a platform for students to debate and analyze critical national issues, fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Meanwhile, the UNGA simulation delved into the complex topic of refugee rights, encouraging students to explore innovative solutions to address this pressing global concern.Recognizing outstanding performances, CTU MUN 2024 awarded prizes to two High Commendation awardees, two Best Delegate awardees, as well as accolades for Verbal mention, Best Photographer, and Best Journalist.Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of CT University, highlighted the significance of CTU MUN 2024 in providing students with a holistic learning experience, enriching their understanding of both national and international affairs. - More than 100 units donatedCT University's Department of Student Welfare, in collaboration with the PIMS Medical & Education Charitable Society, organized a Blood Donation Camp, underscoring the university's commitment to community welfare and health advocacy.During the blood donation camp, more than 100 students and faculty members voluntarily donated their blood. A contingent of 15 team members comprising doctors and technicians contributed effectively to the camp. The students were counselled on the safety and significance of blood donation in societal interest.Director of the Department of Student Welfare, Er. Davinder, highlighted the importance of blood donation, emphasizing its potential to save thousands of lives. School of Law, CT University organized visit to Central Jail Ludhiana, The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand experience and a deeper understanding of prison life and administration.Under the guidance of DSP Kanwar Bhuvan Pratap Singh, students received comprehensive briefings on daily jail operations, security protocols, rehabilitation initiatives, and legal aid services. Interacting directly with inmates, they gained invaluable insights into their experiences and challenges within the prison system.The visit also included a tour of various prison facilities, where students witnessed firsthand the productive endeavors of inmates in areas such as the canteen, furniture making, and bakery.
