Eligibility Criteria

10+2 with English, Physics,Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology as a third science subject from recognized board and having atleast 50% marks

Duration:   The duration of the course shall be for 2 academic years. Each academic year shall be spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days. *In addition, there shall be 500 hours of practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months

Program Objectives

Know different aspects of pharmaceutics which include different dosage form and their classification, manufacturing process and uses.
Able to understand about various dosage forms, their uses, different ayurvedic formulations, immunological products.
Ability to identify, formulate and solve Pharmaceutical industry, community & hospital pharmacy problems.
Knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities as per Pharmaceutical jurisprudence.
Able to explain the role of natural products as the source of many drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients, their common adulterations and quality control parameters.

Program Outcomes

After Completion of the programme, the students would be able to:

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

50% in Diploma Pharmacy (2 years after 10+2) or 50% in Diploma Pharmacy (3 years after 10th) (Diploma should be recognized by PCI) or equivalent.

PG COURSES

Eligibility Criteria

Pass with 55% aggregate marks in B.Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university.
1. B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B. Pharm).
2. Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Duration: 2 Year, The program of study for M. Pharm. shall extend over a period of four semesters (two academic years). The curricular and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Program Objectives

  • Postgraduates will acquire adequate scientific information regarding basic principles of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceutics including Cosmetology, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy.
  • They will also have hands on training of practical aspects of Synthesis of APIs and its intermediates along with Formulation
  • Development, Analysis and Quality assurance of various pharmaceutical dosage forms including those of herbal origin as per standards of official books, WHO, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Postgraduates will develop an ability to plan, visualize and work on multidisciplinary tasks. They will be able to demonstrate necessary skills (eg. working independently, time management and organizational skills). They will demonstrate an adaptable, flexible and effective approach towards organizational.
  • Postgraduates will develop leadership and interpersonal skills such as influencing others, negotiating and working with others, conflict management and leading others through the problem-solving process. They will be able to lead and function both individually and as a member of a team.

Program Outcomes

  • Postgraduates will develop leadership and interpersonal skills such as influencing others, negotiating and working with others, conflict management and leading others through the problem-solving process. They will be able to lead and function both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Postgraduates will apply theoretical and practical skills developed through classroom, laboratories and team project experiences and thus will develop confidence and will be able to i) do specialized research in the core and applied areas of pharmaceutical sciences. ii) Manufacture, analyse and assure the drug based formulations. iii) promote and market the pharmaceuticals and iv) train the budding pharmacist to become self-reliant pharmacist and a health care professional.
  • Postgraduates will demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities as per pharmaceutical jurisprudence. The graduates will swear by a code of ethics of Pharmacy Council of India in relation to community and shall act as integral part of a health care system. They will demonstrate honesty, integrity, ethical understanding, and respect for others and will carry out their professional responsibilities by adhering to high ethical standards.
  • Postgraduates will demonstrate the impact of pharmacy knowledge on the society and also will be aware of modern issues. They will create awareness of healthcare issues through interactions with others and will gain a sense of self-respect towards community and citizenship.

Duration: 3 Years

The purpose of the CT University Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences is to prepare graduates to execute original, high-level research in the discipline specific to the graduate’s area of emphasis, especially in basic as well as applied research in basic and clinical pharmacology, drug delivery and targeting, utilizing medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunology, and molecular and cell biology. Graduates might be employed at leading research universities, in industry, government or in any research centric arena. Doctoral students enrolled in the program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate deep methodological skill and an understanding of contemporary research in their respective area of emphasis, and be able to implement innovative research practices under guidance of their faculty advisor and in concert with their research team.
  • Demonstrate understanding of applying contemporary research in their respective area of emphasis to industry contexts and be able to engage in innovative practices informed by such research pertinent to pharmaceutical sciences and their area of emphasis in diverse contexts.
