HIMPUN 2.0 – Unlocking a New Era of Education ad Skill Development
A resounding success was achieved by CT University and CT Group with their organization of HIMPUN 2.0. The national conference, an exclusive initiative of the Punjab and Himachal region was held on May 22nd, 2023, at the Auditorium of Degree College, Dharamshala (H.P). The conference celebrated India’s G20 presidency and focused on deciphering National Education Policy. As part of the main agenda, the conference initiated discussions and deliberations on topics such as unlocking opportunities for youth in Industry 4.0 & Innovation. In addition, the conference discussed health & well-being, skill development, and sports.

The Chief Guest for the conference was Honourable Cabinet Minister Chaudhary Chander Kumar, and the Guests of Honour, Honourable Raghubir Singh Bali, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Congress leader, Shri Onkar Nehria, Mayor Dharamshala, Shri Sarv Chand, Deputy Mayor, and Shri Dharmesh Ramnotra, SDM.

The conference marked its beginning with the introduction of CT University by the Director of IQAC, Ati Priye. This was followed by the first lecture on NEP 2020 by Prof. Dr. Naresh Sharma, Degree College, Dharamshala. NEP 2020 was also deliberated by Prof. Dr. Mahendra Singh Ashawat, Director of the Laureate Institute of Pharmacy. To add fervor and diversity to the conference many cultural events were also organized.

Invaluable contributions and developments in the field of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence were recognized by Dr. Harmeet, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering, CTU, and Dr. Jimmy Singla, Head of the School of Computer Science and Computer Applications.

Chancellor CT University and Chairman CT Group, S. Charnjit Singh Channi interacted with the audience and discussed various topics ranging from NEP 2020 to skill development.

The conference featured keynote speeches and panel discussions by experts and leaders from various fields. These deliberations provided insights into crucial topics like NEP 2020, sports, skill development, and health. The conference also included interactive workshops and sessions that aimed to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge to apply in their personal and professional lives. Participants were also allowed to network with other attendees and build connections that could benefit in the future.

The conference also felicitated 150 exemplary teachers, 150 top students, and more than 100 social workers. Certificates were given to all participants. All students above class 12 participated.

The event was graced by the Chancellor of CT University and the Chairman of CT Group. S. Charnjit Singh Channi, Vice Chairman of CT Group, Harpreet Singh, and the Additional Director of the Division of Admissions, Dr. Vaneet Thakur. In addition, the Deputy Director of Admissions, Dr. Maninder Singh also attended the event.

The Chancellor of CT University and the Chairman of CT Group. S. Charnjit Singh Channi discussed various scholarships offered by CT Group, ranging up to 32 crores. He also mentioned the highest package bagged by CT Group’s alumni which is 51 lakhs. There was also a discussion about scholarships for single girls.

CT Group Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh stated, “We believe that the conference was an excellent platform for all to showcase the region’s innovative start-ups and the excellent work of educators and students.” He also thanked everyone involved in making the conference a huge success.
