Giving details about the event, Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar CTU, said that the International workshop aims at bringing together people from the scientific community including research and academia along with IC-IMPACTS HQPs to brainstorm recent technology development for efficient use of water resources as well as gather ideas for sustainable water utilization. Distinguished speakers and experts from Indian, Canadian and American Universities / research institutes will deliberate their ideas on innovations in water resource management and suggest ways to tackle associated challenges. Participating students, engineers/ scientists/ farmers will be benefitted from interaction with water resource experts. The event will also present networking, research as well as entrepreneurial opportunities, to the participants. The management and staff from CT University will be a part of the workshop.
He shared that the Workshop will be inaugurated by the CTU Chairman, Charanjit Singh Channi. The key speakers will be Dr Shiv O Prasher and Jaskaran Dhiman (McGill University, Canada); Dr Ramesh Rudra (Guelph University), Dr M. Kang (Kansas State University, USA), Dr Rameshwar Kanwar (Iowa State University) in addition to those from different Universities and State Development Departments. The recommendations emerging from the Workshop will be passed on to the researchers, academia and the policy makers concerned with water management.
