SHOs, NGO Workers, Social Activists honoured
CT University marked ‘International Women’s Day’ with the theme “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”. The event was a felicitation ceremony in which various females excelling in their domains of social workers, police force, doctors, medical officers, nurses, media personnel and other frontline female warriors were invited and honoured.
The event was graced by 30 beautiful ladies around Punjab in which Simmi Chopra, Director, Punsup and Chairman Ek Aas Women Helpline, Rucchi Kaur Bawa, Social activist, Member CAW (Crime against women & child) Ludhiana Police, President AAS EHSAAS, District President CRO (Consumer Rights Organization, Social Activist and Malvika Sood Sachar, Director of Hollywood English Academy and Social Worker based in Moga and sister of Bollywood actor Sonu Sood along with Chancellor, Charanjeet Singh Channi, honoured the frontlines warriors.
The guests were Dr Navreet Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Manisha Kapoor, Dr Sangeena, Sangeeta Bala, Dr Geeti Puri Arora, Dr Navdeep Sandhu, Dr Sukhman, Akanksha Vij, Dr Dimpy Gupta, Kuldeep Kaur, Dr Shivani Punj, Dr Chanchal Gera, Manju Sethi, Sonia Chhabra, Guneeta Bindra, Neeru Verma.
The SHOs honoured were Arshpreet Kaur Grewal, Madhu Bala and Simranjeet Kaur.
Thereafter, all the women were a part of an open discussion on the topic ‘Challenges that you faced being a Women leader’.
