3D Printed Wi-Fi Enabled UV sanitizing Lamp

Now a days Ultraviolet is being used to sanitize the objects and even whole rooms. The main reason is that Ultraviolet (UV) light destroys the molecular bonds that hold together the DNA of viruses and bacteria. It kills bacteria regardless of drug resistance and without toxic chemicals. But Ultraviolet light either from Sun or from any artificial source can cause skin and eye problem. Keeping all this side effects, Robotics and Automation Lab has developed a 3D printed UV lamp which can be controlled using Wi-Fi from any part of the world. The basic idea to control the lamp through Wi-Fi is to minimize the human exposure to the UV light. Moreover, we can turn on the UV lamp before reaching the office and turn off accordingly.
