Dr. Dalijit Khurana

Dr. Daljit Singh Khurana (Ph.D.), Head of School of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, has a teaching experience of 35 years. He obtained his education from Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. He guided 32 PG students and was a member of the advisory committee of several students. Dr. Khurana has published 80 research articles in journals of repute and also published 72 popular articles and delivered 75 televisions and radio talks.
Dr. Khurana is associated with the evolution of various hybrids and cultivars of vegetable crops, among them hybrids of chilli namely chilli-hybrid-1 and chilli-hybrid-3 are the most prominent ones. He also released varieties in salad crops i.e. long melon and Wanga besides a cultivar of broccoli i.e. Palam Samridhi which has anti-cancerous properties due to its richness in sulphoraphane content. Many recommendations of Dr. Khurana have been included in Package of Practices for cultivation of vegetables. The most prominent ones are Low Tunnel Technology for off season cultivation of capsicum and cucumber. He is pioneer in the research of growth regulators such as use of Naphthelene Acetic Acid and Biozyme in chilli and potato, respectively.
Dr. Daljit Singh Khurana is recipient of various awards including “Wimco Sun Sip Award” by “All India Food Preservation’s Association”, “Harpal Kaur Memorial Award” and “Best Reviewers Award”.
Rajdeep Thidwar has joined CT University as Head of School of Health Care and Paramedical Sciences in 2020 with his 12 years Clinical and Academic experience. Prior to this, he was at SGT university, Gurgaon (HR) 2013-2018 as Lecturer in Department of Radio-Diagnosis and Imaging Technology and Ansal University, Gurgaon (HR) as Head of the department Radio-Imaging technology.
