Dr.Shafayat Hussain works as Assistant Professor in the Department of English, School of Humanities and Physical Education, CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab. He has completed his Masters in English from Kashmir University. He has done his Mphil and PhD from Central University of Punjab. His areas of research interest are Diaspora and Postcolonial Fiction. His doctoral research broadly focuses on exploring the dynamics of Home and Identity politics after the advent of “spatial turn” in humanities and social sciences. The study reimagines the notions of home and identity within the postmodern theoretical formulations that reject universalizing and totalizing narratives and replace such linear and fixed narratives with the narratives of fluidity and openness.
